1 (10.25 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley
1 (16.34 ounce) can refrigerated biscuit dough, cut into 1-inch pieces
Instructions
Place chicken breasts in the bottom of your slow cooker. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
Add chicken broth, carrots, celery, and onion to the slow cooker.
Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until chicken is cooked through and tender.
Remove chicken from the slow cooker and shred it with two forks. Return the shredded chicken to the slow cooker.
In a small bowl, whisk together butter and flour until smooth. Stir this mixture into the slow cooker.
Add milk and cream of chicken soup to the slow cooker. Stir well to combine.
Cover and cook on high for another 30-45 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.
Stir in fresh parsley.
Add the biscuit pieces to the slow cooker, nestling them into the liquid. Cover and cook for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the dumplings are cooked through and fluffy.
Serve hot and enjoy your cozy meal!
Notes
For a richer flavor, you can use chicken thighs instead of breasts.
If you don’t have cream of chicken soup, you can substitute with cream of mushroom soup.
Adjust the amount of liquid based on your desired soup consistency.
