Make rich, silky white hot chocolate at home using just three simple ingredients. This recipe delivers a cozy, indulgent winter drink quickly.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups Whole Milk
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 12 ounces good quality White Chocolate, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Pour the milk and heavy cream into a medium saucepan.
  2. Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until steam rises and small bubbles form around the edges. Do not let it boil.
  3. Remove the saucepan from the heat. Add the finely chopped white chocolate to the warm milk mixture.
  4. Let the chocolate sit undisturbed for two minutes to soften.
  5. Whisk the mixture gently until the white chocolate is completely melted and the drink is smooth and uniform.
  6. Return the saucepan to low heat for one minute to warm through, stirring constantly. Do not boil.
  7. Pour immediately into mugs and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use high-quality white chocolate for the best flavor and smoothest texture.
  • For a slightly thinner drink, substitute half of the whole milk with water or half-and-half.
  • Add a dash of vanilla extract before serving for extra depth.
