Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar, for rolling
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon, for rolling

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and 2 cups of granulated sugar until well combined.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
  6. In a small bowl, combine the 1/4 cup granulated sugar and cinnamon for the topping.
  7. Roll spoonfuls of dough into balls and then roll each ball in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  8. Place the coated dough balls into the prepared baking pan, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  9. Bake for 18-22 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centers are set.
  10. Let the blondies cool in the pan before cutting into squares.

Notes

  • For softer blondies, bake for a shorter time. For chewier blondies, bake for the full time.
  • Ensure your cream of tartar is fresh for the best snickerdoodle flavor.
  • You can add chocolate chips or nuts to the batter for extra texture.
