Make flavorful, sticky honey butter garlic salmon bites quickly. This recipe is perfect for a fast weeknight dinner or an easy appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound salmon fillet, skin removed and cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cut the salmon fillet into uniform 1-inch cubes. Pat the salmon pieces dry with a paper towel.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the salmon bites and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until lightly browned. Remove the salmon from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Reduce the heat to medium-low. Add the butter to the same skillet and let it melt.
  4. Add the minced garlic to the melted butter and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Do not let the garlic burn.
  5. Stir in the honey and soy sauce. Bring the sauce to a gentle simmer and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens slightly.
  6. Return the cooked salmon bites to the skillet. Toss gently to coat all pieces evenly with the honey butter garlic sauce.
  7. Remove the skillet from the heat. Stir in the lemon juice and black pepper.
  8. Transfer the salmon bites to a serving dish and garnish with fresh chopped parsley.

Notes

  • For uniform bites, cut the salmon against the grain.
  • If you prefer a thicker glaze, let the sauce simmer for an extra minute before adding the salmon back.
  • You can use an air fryer at 400°F for 8-10 minutes instead of pan-searing if you prefer less direct stovetop cooking.
