Bake these simple, sweet, and savory sliders featuring ham, cheese, and a flavorful honey mustard glaze on soft Hawaiian rolls.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (12 count) sweet dinner rolls (Hawaiian rolls)
  • 1/2 pound thinly sliced deli ham
  • 1/2 pound thinly sliced Swiss cheese
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon poppy seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Slice the entire package of rolls in half horizontally, keeping the rolls connected if possible. Place the bottom half of the rolls in the prepared baking dish.
  3. Layer the ham evenly over the bottom rolls. Top the ham with the slices of Swiss cheese, covering the entire surface. Place the top half of the rolls over the cheese.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, Dijon mustard, honey, Worcestershire sauce, and onion powder until fully combined.
  5. Brush the entire top surface of the rolls generously with the honey mustard glaze mixture. Sprinkle with poppy seeds if you are using them.
  6. Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil. Bake for 15 minutes.
  7. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 to 10 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and the tops of the rolls are lightly golden brown.
  8. Let the sliders rest for 5 minutes before slicing between the individual rolls and serving hot.

Notes

  • For easy slicing, use a serrated knife to cut the whole block of rolls after baking, following the natural separation lines.
  • You can substitute cheddar or provolone cheese for Swiss cheese.
  • Prepare the glaze mixture ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator for up to three days.
