Make restaurant-style garlic butter quickly. This versatile compound butter works well on bread, steak, pasta, or vegetables.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Place the softened butter in a medium bowl.
  2. Add the minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper to the bowl.
  3. Use a fork or spatula to mix all ingredients together until they are fully combined and uniform in color.
  4. For immediate use, you can serve it soft.
  5. For storage, place the butter mixture onto a sheet of plastic wrap or parchment paper.
  6. Roll the mixture into a log shape, twisting the ends to seal it tightly.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to firm up before slicing or spreading.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use roasted garlic instead of fresh minced garlic.
  • Add 1/4 teaspoon of red pepper flakes when mixing for a spicy garlic butter variation.
  • Store the finished butter log in the refrigerator for up to two weeks or freeze for up to three months.
