Ingredients
Scale
1.5 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese, finely grated
2 cloves garlic, minced (optional)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit (220 degrees Celsius). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper for easier cleanup.
In a large bowl, toss the halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and pepper until they are evenly coated.
Spread the sprouts in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Do not overcrowd the pan; use two sheets if necessary to ensure maximum crisping.
Roast for 15 minutes.
Remove the pan from the oven. Sprinkle the minced garlic (if using) and the grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the sprouts. Gently toss them on the pan.
Return the pan to the oven and roast for another 10 to 15 minutes, or until the sprouts are tender inside and the cheese forms a crispy crust.
Serve immediately.
Notes
For the crispiest results, ensure the sprouts are completely dry before tossing them with oil. Pat them dry with paper towels after washing.
If using an air fryer, cook at 380 degrees Fahrenheit (195 degrees Celsius) for 12 minutes, shake the basket, then add the Parmesan and cook for an additional 3 to 5 minutes until crispy.
Use finely grated Parmesan for the best crust formation.
