- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 tablespoon white vinegar
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- Combine the mayonnaise and sour cream in a medium bowl.
- Add the water and white vinegar to the bowl.
- Stir in the cumin, paprika, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper.
- Whisk all ingredients together until the sauce is completely smooth and uniform in color.
- Taste the sauce and adjust salt or cayenne pepper if needed.
- Cover the bowl and refrigerate the sauce for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to blend.
- Use this sauce inside your quesadillas or serve it as a dipping sauce.
Notes
- For a slightly thinner sauce, increase the water by one teaspoon at a time until you reach your desired consistency.
- If you want a tangier flavor, add 1/2 teaspoon more white vinegar.
- This sauce works well on tacos or burritos as well.
