Make a restaurant-style white pizza using a creamy garlic base instead of tomato sauce. This recipe features ricotta, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheeses.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound pizza dough
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup whole milk ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded low-moisture mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven and pizza stone or baking sheet to 475 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Stretch or roll your pizza dough into a 12-inch circle or desired shape. Place it on a lightly floured pizza peel or parchment paper.
  3. In a small bowl, mix the olive oil and minced garlic. Brush this garlic oil mixture evenly over the surface of the dough, leaving a small border for the crust.
  4. Dollop small spoonfuls of the ricotta cheese evenly across the oiled dough.
  5. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese over the top.
  6. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
  7. Carefully transfer the pizza to the preheated stone or baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 10 to 14 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Remove from the oven, sprinkle with fresh parsley, slice, and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a crispier crust, place your pizza stone in the oven while it preheats for at least 30 minutes.
  • If you do not have fresh dough, use one store-bought crust.
  • You can substitute heavy cream for some of the ricotta if you prefer a thinner, saucier base.
