- 1 package (14 ounces) little smokies
- 1 package (8 ounces) bacon, cut into 1/3-inch strips
- Brown sugar (optional, for coating)
- Toothpicks
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup.
- If using brown sugar, pour some into a shallow dish.
- Wrap each little smokie with a strip of bacon. You can secure the bacon with a toothpick if needed.
- If you want a sweet and smoky flavor, roll the bacon-wrapped smokies in brown sugar.
- Place the wrapped smokies on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and golden brown.
- Remove toothpicks before serving.
Notes
- For extra crispy bacon, you can broil the smokies for the last minute or two, watching them closely to prevent burning.
- If you don’t have toothpicks, you can secure the bacon by overlapping the ends tightly.
- These can also be made in a slow cooker on the ‘warm’ setting for several hours, though the bacon won’t be as crispy.
