Craft a warm and spirited Apple Pie Moonshine that’s perfect for sharing with loved ones. This recipe is designed for drink enthusiasts eager to create a delightful, boozy apple cocktail.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 gallon apple cider
  • 1 (12 ounce) can apple juice concentrate
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 teaspoon whole cloves
  • 1 teaspoon whole allspice
  • 1 (750 milliliter) bottle 100-proof unflavored vodka
  • 1 (750 milliliter) bottle apple flavored moonshine

Instructions

  1. In a large stockpot, combine the apple cider, apple juice concentrate, granulated sugar, and brown sugar.
  2. Add the cinnamon stick, whole cloves, and whole allspice to the pot.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally until the sugars are dissolved.
  4. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 1 hour, allowing the flavors to meld. Stir every 15 minutes.
  5. Remove the pot from the heat and let it cool completely.
  6. Once cooled, strain the liquid through a fine-mesh sieve lined with cheesecloth into a large bowl or pitcher to remove the spices.
  7. Stir in the unflavored vodka and apple-flavored moonshine.
  8. Pour the Apple Pie Moonshine into clean bottles or jars.
  9. Seal tightly and store in a cool, dark place.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, you can add a few slices of fresh ginger to the simmering mixture.
  • Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less sugar to your preference.
  • This moonshine can be enjoyed immediately, but the flavors will deepen and improve with aging for at least two weeks.
