Make crispy salmon bites quickly in the air fryer and top them with a simple, creamy, spicy bang bang sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound salmon fillet, skin removed and cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • For the Bang Bang Sauce:
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, toss the salmon cubes with olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  2. Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius) for 5 minutes.
  3. Place the seasoned salmon bites in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd; cook in batches if necessary.
  4. Air fry for 8 to 10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the salmon is cooked through and slightly crispy on the edges.
  5. While the salmon cooks, prepare the sauce: Whisk together the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, lemon juice, and garlic powder in a small bowl until smooth.
  6. Remove the cooked salmon bites from the air fryer.
  7. Toss the hot salmon bites gently in a bowl with about half of the prepared bang bang sauce, or serve the sauce on the side for dipping.

Notes

  • For extra moisture, you can lightly dust the salmon cubes with a small amount of cornstarch before seasoning.
  • If your sauce seems too thick, add a few drops of water to reach your desired consistency.
  • If you prefer a tangier sauce, increase the lemon juice slightly.
